NLA Publishes 'Access', a Peer-reviewed International journal



Nepal Library Association (NLA) has recently published a Peer-reviewed International Journal entitled 'Access.' It’s the NLA's first-ever journal and contains 17 articles written mostly by International writers. The journal was made its first online appearance on 11 July 2022 on NepJOL (Nepal Journals Online) portal (https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/access/index). The NepJOL portal is managed by TU Central Library and Journals are uploaded by Ubiquity press, United Kingdom. Print version of the journal was released on August 1st, 2022 amidst a virtual program on Zoom platform. All the articles in the journal focus more or less on situation and service of libraries around the world during COVID-19 and Post-COVID period. Other articles are about IFLA, DDC development, Library Map of the World, IGF & APrIGF, Research4life databases and ISBN system.  

This current issue (Volume 1 issue 1) has altogether 17 articles. Among them, 13 articles are from foreign writers and 4 are by native writers. There are 19 foreign writers/co-writers, 2 associate editors and 7 advisors. All the articles have got DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) that have been indicated at the top of the first page of each article. The journal contains 144 textual pages plus 8 preliminary pages. The journal has ISSN number 2822-2067 for print and 2822-2075 for online format.

This journal 'Access' has maintained transparency of publication processes as per the Journal Publishing Practices and Standards (JPPS) framework established by African Journals Online (AJOL) and International Networks of Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP). Regarding copyright, this journal is an Open access journal and it enjoys the Creative Commons (CC) license attribute type CC-BY-NC.
