IFLA globally called for data of member countries to create a Global Library Map which was presented in IFLA Conference held in 19-25 August 2017 in Poland. NLA Executive members professionally, personally and actively participated, conducted program and contributed in different library and information related programs organized by Ministry of Education (MoE), NGOs, UN. NLA extends its feed back to MoE for “Library Master Plan of Nepal” and “Library Documents Automation”. NLA has organized one day conference regarding this aspect as well.
NLA organized “Positive thinking and stress management” targeting Library professionals at Kathmandu Valley Public Library in November 2015. The resource person, Mr Himalayeswar Thapa, a former Senior Librarian delivered speech on positive thinking. The program was followed by practical demonstration i.e. meditation, to change life style by doing exercises, works etc. A total of 18 Librarians actively participated in this program.
